Rajasthan Royals' captain Sanju Samson is uncertain for the crucial IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur, due to a side injury sustained during a recent game against Delhi Capitals.

Sanju Samson's availability for the Rajasthan Royals' (RR) upcoming match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is in question. The right-handed batter experienced discomfort and retired from his innings at 31 off 19 balls during the match against Delhi Capitals.

According to Royals' head coach Rahul Dravid, the team is awaiting scan results to determine the extent of Samson's injury and his ability to participate in the match. "Sanju Samson is doubtful for the match against Lucknow Super Giants," Dravid stated before RR's match against Delhi Capitals.

Samson was visibly in pain after attempting a cut shot, prompting a visit from the team's physio. Even if cleared to play, Samson might be used as an 'impact player' as a precaution with Riyan Parag potentially leading the team, as he did earlier in the season during Samson's absence. The outcome of the match could significantly impact RR's chances of reviving their season.
