Met Gala 2025 held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City is scheduled for May 5th. This year's theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," celebrates Black fashion and tailoring. The red carpet arrivals will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET and continue until 8 p.m. ET.

The event is co-chaired by actor Colman Domingo, race car driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, singer Pharrell Williams, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. LeBron James will be absent due to injury. According to Vogue, the official Met Gala livestream will be available on all of Vogue’s digital platforms, including YouTube. Hosts for the livestream include singer and actor Teyana Taylor, actor and producer La La Anthony, and actor and comedian Ego Nwodim. Emma Chamberlain will serve as Vogue’s special correspondent.

The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" exhibition will open to the public on May 10 and run through 2025. This year's gala highlights the significant contributions of Black designers and stylists to the fashion industry and anticipate increased recognition and visibility for emerging Black talents.
